What is the need for this project?
In India, underprivileged children often lack access to proper recreational facilities and face limited opportunities for sports participation.
To our surprise, many schools even in urban areas like Delhi NCR lack suitable infrastructure, including playgrounds, which hampers the physical and mental development of the students. The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) 2019 highlighted that only 16% of children in rural India and 32% in urban India have access to sports facilities.
But it doesn't end there. The impact of this deprivation extends far beyond playtime.
Our Mission
Project Khel Kranti is a visionary initiative aimed at establishing sustainable playgrounds and sports grounds in underprivileged schools in New Delhi, India. The project focuses on promoting fitness, sports, and mental well-being among children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. By engaging volunteers, partnering with organisations like Anthill Creations, and collaborating with experienced coaches and child psychologists, Project Khel Kranti aims to create a positive impact on the lives of these children.
